James Burke: Confirmed!

Street War - James Burke

Made in 1991 and salvaged from VHS, "GI Joe Street War" is a B&W stop-motion action film put together when filmmaker James Burke was only 17. James used a Fisher Price PXL-2000 and 2 VHS VCRs. Another fantastic addition to the festival.

Director Jon Daniel Ligon uses his childhood friends to bring the madness of war to the big screen. "The Real Adventures of GI Joe" is an award winning post-9/11 film set in a San Francisco backyard. Very taunting.

Animation Creation: Confirmed!

Another fabulous addition to the festival's line up is "Operation: Last Broadcast" by filmmakers Kevin Jones (animator) and Derek Moench (editor). The film was originally created for Episode 6 of Animation Creation, an animated variety show on cable television in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.

The adventures of GI Joe

Filmed in Los Angeles, CA between 1978 and 1982, "The Adventures of GI Joe" by filmmaker Mark L. Johnson is a classic stop-motion animation that we are thrilled to confirm. Mr. Johnson's film features some awesome vintage figures and an action packed story line.

Minor schedule change...

The 1st GI JOE Stop-Motion Film Festival is going to be held Thursday, September 20th 2007. Just a week earlier than previously posted.
